A Night of Charity Children’s Education- A Red Carpet Gala

On June 27th, Shiksha Inc. held a fundraiser at Dragon Ridge Country Club where we held a night of sponsorship of two students: Maria from the Dominican Republic, and John from Kenya. Our partnership with another charity, the Shooting Stars foundation, has allowed us to sponsor these lovely young adults. This foundation sponsors kids who are obtaining their graduate or doctorate degrees with the hope that these children will return back to their villages and inspire the youth to enact change. 

Shiksha Inc. places value in giving back to the community, and that night Shria Ramanathan, founder of Shiksha Inc., gave a very heartwarming speech.

We at Shiksha believe that primary education should be a right, not a privilege. Our goal is to work towards providing educational opportunities to those who are struck by poverty or discrimination in third world countries.”
